What People's Say About Place

There will be stories told, And they must be told, to the next generation. There was a place once that you can go and stack food is high as you could that would let you pay one price to build your own Babel of food. It was glorious. The children may scoff, they may call you things like Boomer even though it's not your generation to try to make you feel small or such a comment. But we know the truth. We know that it existed. We know that the price was less than $13 for a amount of food no man could finish in one meal and was able to take home. Tales will be told of unlimited spices. Spices that men of old had to conquer villages for and entire continents fought over. But here, in this place, they were endless. Possibilities stretching beyond understanding. Sauces that made one feel like they were a culinary liquid sommelier. Where young man could learn cooking skills, talk to someone he never knew while waiting for chefs with magic wands to cook their food. Truly they wouldn't believe in the magic wands, they would say what about a spatula? Knives?? But you would have to tell them no, just two big metal flat rods. And they won't believe you.. 350°? No, this round disc of fire was set at 700°. How a MAN would have his food cooked. Where he could go with his friends and learn the secret of the white sauce. The discipline on when to use the white sauce. You can learn the understanding of finances and tipping appropriately when the food is endless, but the service isn't. He could learn what sacrifice means because in 25 minutes after you eat you understood there was ramifications for your actions. Where learning how to pack a bowl was done in the righteous way. Not like the filth in the streets, but what you could do with the meats. Truly it was a place of legends. The legacy of the fire that was once deemed crazy will live on through us. Through every pan of leftovers I throw in a hot skillet, and very bowl of random meats and vegetables all for my brothers who give it all for us. You may have closed your doors, But you're signature is on all of our hearts, in the bowl that we made. If you're a real one, list your bowl below. Thank you. I love this place! Every time a friend comes to town, this is where I take them, I come here for birthdays and special occasions. This has got to be one of my favorite places (if not my favorite) in Raleigh! The food is so good, you get to pick it yourself so no excuses if it’s not good, they grill it perfectly and their rice on the side is great! It’s a really reasonable price for a great meal, especially if you have some very hungry people.

This was a great new experience, and from what my wife tells me, it is very similar to stir-fry restaurants in Okinawa Japan. Fresh, mostly raw, ingredients are in a buffet arrangement with a dozen different sauces, seasonings, and oils. Lots of protein and vegetable options so most dietary restrictions should be able to be accommodated. The food was delicious and even though it is all you can eat, you do get a little bit of a price break if you only go through the line 1 time. Looking forward to going back with family. This particular location is a little tired but was still clean, presentable, and fairly well maintained. -- Was able to come back with my wife (2 months later). Food is still excellent and if you come to this location for an early dinner (5pm ish) during the week, there is no wait and no lines. Food was still amazing and delectable. Added a couple more photos.

This was my first time trying a Mongolian grill, and I definitely enjoyed the food. The service was good, and there was no wait to get a seat. This location does seem older, looking a little run down, but everything was clean. I wish there was something to help determine how to add the sauces, I've heard other places list some options for this...add half a ladle of this or that to get a particular flavor. I had fun ringing the gong!

A wonderful experience , you got to make your own food, sounds kind of scary but there are some sample recipes you can try so that you get used to it. I tried a normal chicken noodle came out perfectly with all the sauces. Everything is cooked perfectly. My 21 month old daughter enjoyed all the grilled veggies.

If you actually want a balance of vegetables, meat, and carbs for lunch, this is a great option. Build your own bowl and stack the food high. Been coming here once a week for years. Friendly waiter and cook.

A great place to enjoy customized stir fry. Very nostalgic of Stir Crazy or Flat top grill. Everyone loved it. Lots of way to customize the entrees and they do make food separately for allergen concerns and vegetarians. Got really busy when we went and so quality of service suffered

I live laugh love this place. it’s my root of happiness. I am here 4-5 times a week. Give the grill guy and waitress a raise, they deserve it.
